I love stitching felt flowers! It all started with a skirt that had white, black and gray flowers. I wanted to make a felt necklace to go with it. This eco-felt is made of recycled plastic bottles, so it seemed like a good choice for the environment, and it comes in all kinds of colors. Experimenting brought me to a formula that makes substantial pieces that are fun to stitch and to wear. I also love the graphic quality of the bright colors and simple shapes. Now I make all kinds of accessories with these whimsical flowers.

The flowers measure 2.5" to 3" across, the circles about 3/4", and they are separated by glass seed beads. The 56" long piece took about two and a half hours to make. It is entirely hand-stitched with heavy duty button and carpet thread for superior durability - no glue!
